I have lived and breathed Yoga/Pilates/Wellness for 35 years. I have taught for over 20 years. I have been training others for over a decade. I continue to invest in my own personal and professional development. And now?

You will work with me – the Founder of the Ordinary People Academy – on a 1:1 basis for a 6-month period and will receive accredited professional development training in Yoga or Pilates as well as strategic business training, soul-led leadership coaching, nervous system regulation, and personal accountability to take you to the next level (and to give you the mindset to deal with your success!)

CURRICULUM

METHODOLOGY

The training is a mixture of:

• pre-recorded videos and audios that you can access at any time
• required reading which includes classical and contemporary books and a comprehensive manual
• filling in a Learner Achievement Portfolio (including creating your own set of class plans)
• taking part in the 1:1 calls as well as practice teaching in between calls

Yoga was originally transmitted from teacher to student in a rich personal relationship (the gurukula system) and Joseph Pilates trained his Elders on a bespoke basis. This 1:1 mentorship will guide you in the traditional way using modern means of communication (Zoom and WhatsApp).

This course might be online but that doesn’t mean any drop in quality. In fact, this is an intimate training where I will be working with you on a 1:1 basis to help you become an embodied LEADER and not just a teacher.

When you sign up to the training you will receive a “care parcel” from me which gives you something tangible to go along with the ephemeral.

SCHEDULE

Because we’re working on a 1:1 basis the sessions are shorter but much more intensive than in a class setting. It will be expected that you complete work outside of those contact hours and you will receive unlimited WhatsApp support during the six months to help you do this.

You will receive:

• 12 x 2-hour live Yoga/Pilates skills training sessions
• 6 x 2-hour coaching appointments for mindset coaching and to plan your wellness business
• A full library of pre-recorded training videos
• Additional Yoga Anatomy training for those on the Yoga path
• Unlimited WhatsApp support for 6 months
• One year’s access to the Ordinary Peeople Academy’s online studio with recordings of all live calls for a full year after graduation

I believe that you need time to assimilate the teachings of Yoga or Pilates so we will work together for a total of six months on your Soulful Movement Mastery. Working 1:1 gives us flexibility so your final assessment will only take place when you feel ready.
